Man-Made Forest
Walk beneath towering rows of mahogany trees, a serene and picturesque man-made forest that offers a cool respite and beautiful photo opportunities.
The Bilar Man-Made Forest is a two-kilometer stretch of densely planted mahogany trees, known for its uniform height, smooth trunks, and perfectly aligned formations. Originally part of a reforestation project, it has become an iconic stop for travelers on the road to or from the Chocolate Hills.
The forest provides an enchanting atmosphere where sunlight filters gently through the thick canopy, creating a cool and calming tunnel-like path. Many visitors stop for photos, but the forest is also a great place for a leisurely walk or to simply enjoy the fresh mountain air.
It stands as a testament to Bohol’s commitment to preservation and environmental rehabilitation, turning a once barren area into a thriving green corridor.
